Art Start Fundraiser!

So, a really exciting opportunity has waltzed my way, and since I’m trying to spread the good word about how Very Awesome Clay Can Be, naturally I took this opportunity by the hand and waltzed on down the street with it!

The deets:

What: Fundraising Party – A Very Eclectic Night of Music, Poetry, & Performances
When: Friday, September 30th, 2011 @ 8:00pm
Where: Manny’s on Second (1770 2nd Avenue, New York, NY)
Cover: $7 at the door!

A fantastic non-profit company called Art Start is holding a fundraiser on September 30th, 2011 at 8:00pm at Manny’s on Second (UES).  This local charity is responsible for bringing art into the lives of thousands of homeless children through the dedication of a small staff and thousands of volunteer artists.  Join us at Manny’s on the 30th, where you’ll not only be witness to some fantastic music, dance, poetry, and prose, but you’ll also have the opportunity to view some badass paintings as well as some of my pottery!  AND, in addition to helping all us art folk get the word out about our work, you’ll also be helping to enrich the lives of homeless children all over New York City.

For more information on this event, click here to be directed to Art Start’s page for the fundraiser.  Or, if you’d rather just respond via Facebook, you can follow this link to the invitation for the party!

Tickets are $7 at the door and I believe you will be able to purchase some of the artwork and/or CDs from musicians.  Come on out and enjoy a night of good music, dance, and art – for a good cause!

And, if you want to help spread the word (because you all know how much I love to bombard the world with word-of-mouth advertising), here are some images you can use!  Print ’em out!  Plaster ’em up!  Let’s raise some money for art!

Thanks everyone!  Looking forward to seeing you all on the 30th!

About SacredSpiralPottery

I am a novice potter who was blessedly introduced to clay in January of 2011. I've become totally addicted to mud and all of its amazing properties, and spend a good deal of time working on my own projects and helping out at a small private studio in Jersey City.
