Adventures in Mud-Slinging

Hello and welcome!  I’m Nessa, and this will be a place for me to talk about how much I love working with clay, and to discuss with others the awesomeness that is mud-slinging.

I throw on the wheel at La Mano Pottery in Chelsea, New York, and have done handbuilding in the past as well.  I love the way getting my hands dirty makes me feel, and working with clay is a creative and productive medium for getting dirty!

I’m in the process of setting this blog up and getting all of my pictures sorted (there are a lot of pictures), as well as setting up my store on Etsy.  I have an overabundance of pottery in my house now, and while some pieces will be gifted to others, mostly I want to sell my pottery.  I think I’m that good!  ^_^

When I do post photos, it will most likely be of pieces that I’m in the process of working on, or have brought to completion (a process that takes up to two weeks).  Additional photos of my pottery can be found here on Flickr.  I haven’t updated this in a while; another thing that needs doing that hopefully will get done sometime this week!

For now, late lunch!  Welcome again, and I hope to see you around here often!  ^_^

About SacredSpiralPottery

I am a novice potter who was blessedly introduced to clay in January of 2011. I've become totally addicted to mud and all of its amazing properties, and spend a good deal of time working on my own projects and helping out at a small private studio in Jersey City.
